Danish Maritime Days
The Danish Maritime Days and the associated Danish Maritime Fair were a great few days. With our members attending events throughout the week, I had the privilege of watching the opening ceremony of the Fair - in the photos below.
The Fair was an interesting and educating mix of maritime companies. A special green area of the Fair shows the growing importance of environmentally friendly, innovative solutions. This has been underlined today with the IMO announcement that ships will be required to use low sulphur fuel by 2020. This follows years from Sulphur Emission Control Areas extending around the world - one of the first being in the Baltic Sea being enforced in 2005.
Bornholm is at the forefront of pushing green technologies and the green Baltic sea!
