Offshore Center Bornholm is delighted to announce that BOFA, the Municipal Waste Removal System for Bornholm, have become a member.

There is a distinct and driven focus on the environment, BOFA has facilities around Bornholm that can recycle, reuse and produce heat from waste. Bofa has one of the highest re-utilisation rate in their waste handling: 65% of all waste received at Bofa is sent to be recycled and 26% is incinerated. For green waste there is composting facilities and with special facilties for the many visitors to the island each year.

Yesterday was the OCB Gå Hjem. We had a lot to talk about with developments in offshore wind, different maritime industries and new business opportunities. 

We caught up and shared new information!

Kriegers Flak, at 600 MW, will be the largest offshore wind farm in the Nordics.

Today, it was awarded to the Swedish utility Vattenfall. The total investment will exceed €1,1 billion.

Bornholm is incredibly well placed to aid in the installation, construction and operation of the offshore wind farm. With our vast array of skills, services and experience, we can be a major benefit.
